My Target

            At the end of this activity, you will be competent in identifying and naming different assessment methods used in the classroom.

My Task

·         Observe at least three classes and make a list of the assessment methods used by teachers.
·         In my list, classify assessment methods as to conventional and authentic and alternative.
·         Describe how each assessment method was used, including my personal observations.
·         Confer with my FS teacher for the assessment list.
·         Reflect on my experience

            As you visit schools and observe assessment practices in at least three classes, document your observations using the activity forms provided for you in this reference. For your pen-and-paper test items, customize a table of specification, and prepare the test material based on the prescriptions of the school where you do class observation.

  •   Quiz Assessment












After the discussion MR. MELCHOR ABU,administer a quiz,it is a long quiz because its 30 items done. Some students get excited because some and majority of the question was reviewed by them,it is good to see some learners that they know the exact answer,but there's some students that through their facial expressions,i observed that they dont know the answers of some question. The quiz done by the class was successful because some student got the highest number of correct answers.

·         This assessment done by the teacher was so good to the learners.because the teacher measure the knowledge and understanding of the learners in a whole discussions. some student will learned a lot because i observed that majority of them are excited to raise their hand when the question was done,so as a future teacher im so glad to see them   that they know the answers.

After the discussion and showing the process of how to create a force in terms of producing heat, the teacher set an example as to produce force, and after which the students will require to perform some activities that involves and in connection with the force.

In order to develop the capabilities of the learners and their skills, this method done by the teacher was so applicable to them.



   
   This assessment method is used to check and measure the understanding   and standard of the learners.




 In this method, the teacher observed if how the students get in with the learning objectives.




The teacher is applying this assessment so that you will be able to check the artistry and production of the students in doing their projects.

         


Analysis

1.       Was there a variety of assessment methods used by the teacher? How relevant was/were the assessment method/s used?      

  Yes, there were variety of assessment methods use by the teachers. The teacher was made a great methods of assessment in order to measures the learning,understanding and their skills in terms of assessing..it is very relevant because as i observe if whats assessment needs to the learners was given at exactly on the time needed.


2.       Do you think the expected students’ learning behaviours indicated in the objectives were properly and appropriately assessed through those assessment methods?


                 
Through my observations, i say yes,because my cooperating teacher knows what kind of assessment need by the learners, in terms of assessing, my cooperating teacher administering variety of assessment as to know if where and what the learners understanding in the whole  subject objectives.


My Reflections

 Throughout my dreams as a future educator, i do believe that giving fair assessment to the learners was so relevant and precious as they experienced it. Someday i will become a teacher and i am the one who facilitate with the same with what i observed in different group of learners, knowing the skills, knowledge and capabilities of learners as they grow was so good in feelings because as a teacher I think it is a achievement.
Teaching learners is a method of acquiring and moulding their knowledge by fair so as a teacher we should give also a fair methods of assessment.

Analysis

1.       Do you think the teacher’s learning objectives was appropriately assessed by your test items?

Based on my observation i say it yes because they are all take in with the topics on that day, i say yes because as i observed some learners are very interested with what activity did by the teacher because they got understand about the topic.



2.       Why do you have to study the teacher’s learning objectives prior to developing an assessment tool?
 In order to get the exact learning objectives we should be able to focus for what learners need, assessing is very important to the learners and to the objectives in order to know the level of understanding of the learners.
